What to Expect During Your Exam

To prepare for your initial examination, simply provide us with your medical history and Dr. Cohen will take it from there!
Your complete examination is our opportunity to get to know you and familiarize ourselves with the intricacies of your oral health. When you come in for your appointment, from the point of entering our doors, you will realize this is unlike any previous dental experience. Our goal is to do everything possible to make your visit pleasant, and to meet and exceed your expectations.
At Glen Dental Center, we foster clear communication, so we make our first priority to listen to you and to find out what you hope to achieve with cosmetic dentistry. Feel free to bring up any questions or concerns you may have about your dental health and our dental services.
Dr. Cohen will first review your health status, inquire about any current medications or health concerns, and your home cleaning routines. Dr. Cohen will perform a thorough oral examination and review current X-rays for abnormalities. He will also perform a complete smile analysis, working with you to find out what your goals are regarding your smile. With those goals in mind, he will create a plan with you to revitalize your smile.
At that point, you will schedule a follow-up consultation. At this follow-up consultation, Dr. Cohen will present your options to you and further review the following:
- What are Your Needs? (i.e. broken teeth, missing teeth, periodontal disease, etc.)
- What are Your Wants (i.e. a beautiful smile)
- What Electives Would You Like to Consider? (i.e., replacing silver fillings in the back of the mouth).
You will also view pictures of similar cases, and decide what options you would like to go with. You will also meet with a financial coordinator to find a payment solution that you will feel comfortable with.
